Back in the day before cell phones were prevalent, I used to use this thing called a “pay phone” to call my mom during my lunch breaks. I’d call her on campus to let her know if I had to stay at school later for my extracurricular activities. Pay phones take coins but I was smart and used what they called a “phone card” which had pre-paid minutes. It was kind of neat.
